Minister of the gospel, dynamic Psalmist, heartfelt songwriter & producer.........are all things that describe Lori El. Bringing a bold, fresh contemporary style to today’s music, Lori El is a captivating Worshipper. The excitement she exudes when she ministers will leave you breathless and in awe of the unique gift that she possess. In her effort to bring Christ to the forefront of her message, her style ranges from energetic praise to life-changing worship and everything in between. Audiences young and old are drawn to this passionate psalmist as she gives it to you in a no-nonsense, because she loves you way.

At the young age of 12, this Richmond, Virginia native, accepted Christ and began to learn the fundamentals of faith and how to apply the Word of God practically in her life. Lori El furthered her education at Oral Roberts University in Tulsa, Oklahoma, a place where she grew academically as well as spiritually while developing her vocal talent. Lori El began singing and traveling with "Souls A Fire", After completing her studies in Tulsa, Lori moved to Los Angeles for a number of years, where she continued to master her skills vocally, musically, and in television production. While in L.A, Lori El met and worked with a number of artists and had the opportunity to sing with gospel greats Byron Cage, Dorothy Norwood, Gladys Knight, and Kurt Carr.


Lori El has always had a heart for ministering to youth and the youth ministry at her home-church in Virginia continued to tug at her heart while in Los Angeles. She made the decision to return home and shortly thereafter she began overseeing the youth music ministry. In this capacity she was able to combine her two passions, youth and music. During her time there Lori El started "Youth on the Rise" a ministry where she focused on sharing the gospel with teenagers teaching them how to develop their gifts while maintaining a real relationship with Christ. From this ministry she founded the group "Fresh Anointing” This talented group of teenagers became known throughout the city of Richmond for their beautifully blended voices and their melodic harmonies. After winning a local talent search, "Fresh Anointing" had the opportunity to compete on BET’s (Black Entertainment Television) Teen Summit. Their hard work and training paid off affording them this wonderful accomplishment and national exposure for the Glory of God.  


In 2000, Lori El began working on her first solo project entitled "It's All About Him".  Lori El strived to incorporate her passion for praise and worship through a variety of musical styles. Here she combined smooth melodies, contemporary beats and strong urban undertones to produce songs that could be enjoyed by all ages. With her powerful vocals and lyrically stirring songs, Lori El touched the hearts of many with an album that has been labeled "fresh, bold, and unique". "It's All About Him" soon caught the attention of Executives at Born Again Records in Los Angeles, California. It was then picked up by Lightyear/WEA and became distributed nationally as "My Everything". Listening to "My Everything", you can easily tell that the album is talking about the most important relationship in her life, Jesus Christ.

In November 2003, Lori El was invited to perform in the nationally acclaimed stage production, "When a Woman’s Fed Up", starring R&B recording artists Glenn Jones and Lenny Williams. This play was an opportunity for her to hone her acting skills while also sharing her gift of song in a venue that was different from her norm.


As a soloist, Lori El   has graced the stage with Donnie McClurkin, Yolanda Adams and Trinitee 5:7. She has also toured on the "Power for Life" tour with Fred Hammond, Dorinda Clark-Cole, Detrick Haddon, and Men of Standard.

Lori El has had the extraordinary opportunity to perform in El Salvador, Brazil, where her heartfelt ballad "You" held the No.1 position for weeks on the Brazilian music charts. Whether ministering on Trinity Broadcasting Network (TBN) or sharing the gospel on the streets of Washington D.C. at the citywide “Black Family Reunion” Festival, Lori El continues to deliver the message of Christ with music that crosses all racial and cultural boundaries.

In 2007, Lori El commenced a new season personally and in ministry. She and Dr. Larry Hill were joined together in marriage and began their ministry together. Their desire is to help equip the body of Christ in utilizing the gifts that God has given them effectively in ministry.

Lori El currently has two Prophetic Worship projects and a Prophetic Worship DVD.  This series of projects unleashed a new level of ministry in Lori El and will cause destiny and purpose to be unlocked in you as well. Lori El, An ever evolving psalmist continues to explore new and exciting ways to advance the Kingdom through Arts and Entertainment. As we patiently wait on the arrival of her new album, one thing that you can be certain of is it will be another musical journey that will surely lead you back to Her Lord and Savior…. “Jesus Christ!”
